Blankets woven on a 4-stake loom, also making the weft with the Wichuña. The latter corresponds to a bone piece of the alpaca or llama, which is used to make the designs.
Commonly the Aymara used these blankets to carry food or babies on their back, in addition to using them for rituals and ceremonies, it is a very important piece in this ancient culture.
Known as the “Andean backpack” in the Aymara worldview. It is available in different shades, in a range of colors to suit the client.
